From despair to hope
The lockdown due to COVID 19 has made the nation face seemingly tough days. You never know where a problem could crop up especially if you were in the transport and logistics business.
Mr. Sunil Kumar, an Ashok Leyland ICV trucks operator from Bengaluru, received an unexpected WhatsApp voice message from his driver saying that his loaded vehicle has been abandoned at Jangalpur, West Bengal and could be picked up at his will. At first Sunil did not know how to react. He assumed it was a prank. It was only when he called back the driver did he realise that he was in a spot.
His Ashok Leyland Boss ICV truck was loaded with rice bags (return load from Kolkata to Bengaluru) after a long wait of 20 days at Kolkata. During the lockdown, Sunil could barely expect anyone to help by stepping out to lookout for his abandoned vehicle. Amidst such despair, there was still a ray of hope. Sunil realized Ashok Leyland was just one phone call away.
He reached out to Mr. Mohanraj, ALSE Area office Bangalore, who went all out and tapped all possible sources he could avail help from. Our 24X7 helpline directed him to the nearest service outlet works manager and his contact details (Shree Automotive Pvt Ltd.). Further, Mr. Uttam Paul from the Corporate Office, helped co-ordinate with the right team to get the task executed. Mr. Sandip Mayak, ASM ICV trucks from AO Kolkata played a vital role in extending his help by instructing the team to reach the spot where the vehicle had been abandoned and ensured that the team scrutinised the vehicle for its performance to ensure the loaded truck reached Bengaluru.
Following the update, Mr. Mohanraj further took the help of the team to move the vehicle with the load, safely to Bengaluru. The transit was closely monitored and ensured the safe return of the vehicle.
Sunil could not thank the Ashok Leyland ICV trucks team enough and applauded them for such timely support!! What was first a nightmarish situation was now resolved in a smooth and efficient manner.
Kudos to Mr. Mohanraj, ALSE Area office Bangalore, Mr. Uttam Paul from the Corporate Office, Mr. Sandip Mayak, ASM ICV trucks from AO Kolkata and team Kolkata!!!! This is truly the spirit of Aapki Jeet. Hamari Jeet.
