Ashok Leyland organises ICV Expo for the North India market

• Ashok Leyland showcases its strong product mix in the Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (ICV) segment • North India being the biggest market, the ICV segment is slated to grow at a fast pace • Strong product portfolio combined with Ashok Leyland’s iEGR (Intelligent Exhaust Gas Recirculation) technology will help in market share growth

Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, and one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, today showcased its range of future ready products at its ICV Expo in Delhi. The ICV product range with its iEGR technology and Ashok Leyland’s disruptive digital solutions are the main focus of this expo.

Inaugurating the ICV Expo, Mr. Anuj Kathuria, President - Global Trucks, Ashok Leyland, said, “Ashok Leyland has come a long way and today it is not just a manufacturer of vehicles but a full solutions provider. Our customers do not come to us just to buy a truck. They come to our brand to find the optimum solution for their business. We ask our customers about their requirement and develop solutions, customised to their needs. This, supported by our recently launched and disruptive, Digital Market Solutions, gives us that extra edge and capability of supporting our customers through the lifecycle of the product. With firm foundation in our brand philosophy, ‘Aapki Jeet, Hamari Jeet’, our efforts are always to make our customers’ life easier and make their businesses more profitable. This expo will showcase this effort to our customers and they will see the value we add to their business.

“During the last 5 years, Ashok Leyland has made significant efforts to increase its market share in the ICV segment and efforts have paid off. We have improved our market share from 6% five years ago to 22% currently. This growth is driven by products like E-Comet, BOSS and our latest addition, GURU, which are delivering more value to our customers. This year we have further enhanced our offering by giving customised solutions to customers with fully built offerings.”

The fully-built offering has multiple positives for the customers:

  1. Customers can begin operations from Day 1 (saving a month’s time of body-building)
  2. Customers can avail funding, including the body portion
  3. Fully-built solution includes warranty which covers the built portion
